Joint Committee report in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order September 3, 2020 to an application filed by Ishant Khanna regarding violation of environmental norms committed by M/s Uppal Neuro Hospital, Rani Ka Bagh, Amritsar. The Joint Committee visited the hospital on November 2, 2020.

Conservation Action Trust had filed the appeal before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) challenging the Environment Clearance of November 2, 2016 granted for the proposed expansion of Alang-Sosiya Ship Recycling Yard (SRY) from the present ship breaking capacity of 400 ships per year to 600 ships per year at Alang and Sosiya villages, Bhavnagar district, Gujarat.

The beaching method is the least environment friendly and has the highest pollution potential.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shashikant Kamble Vs Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 10/11/2020. Grievance in this application is against non-compliance of Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 (BMW Rules) by M/s. Sahyadri Super Speciality Hospital Deccan Gymkhana, Pune.
