The applicant, Mukesh Kumar Chauhan in his complaint before the NGT said that J K Cement, village Satha, Aligarh and other companies are getting clinker, required by them for manufacture of cement, transported from Harduaganj railway station near village Satha, district Aligarh. During loading and unloading clinker evaporates causing damage to the environment and health hazards to the residents.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in its report to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) said that two brick kilns are operating in village Bamnoli, Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh without zig zag technology and responsible for violating environmental laws, rules and regulations set up by the state and the central government.

Navbharat Brick Field and Shiv Brick Field are operating in violation of the Uttar Pradesh Brick Kilns Criteria Act. The brick kilns are causing air, water and soil pollution and which in turn is causing many health hazards.

Report filed by the Punjab Pollution Control Board on M/s Trident Factory, Dhanaula, Mansa road, Barnala. The NGT, February 8, 2022 had directed Trident Factory to pay a sum of Rs. 5 crore on 'polluter pay principle'.

The amount to be deposited in a separate account was to be used for improvement of environment of the area as per action plan to be prepared by the Central Pollution Control Board and the Punjab Pollution Control Board.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT), November 7, 2022 said that tyre pyrolysis oil units (TPOs) need to follow 'zero liquid’ and ‘zero emission’ norms. Further, carbon produced during the process needs to be utilized in cement industries. Carbon material should not be simply transported to landfills, the court said.
