KANCHANPUR, July 29: The number of tigers in Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve is found to have increased, thanks to improvement in habitat and sufficient food in the reserve.
The floods in Mahakali and other rivers triggered by incessant rains for the past four days has damaged paddy crops of more than 300 farmers of Kanchanpur district.
Floods on different rivers in Kanchanpur district have displaced more than 600 families.
An arrangement of accommodation to the displaced families has been made at nearby schools.
