Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of NGI Action Council Vs Nitta Gelatin Inc. & Others dated 27/02/2017 regarding pollution caused by the industry Nitta Gelatin India Ltd. It is contended that the industry releases everyday 25.08 tonnes of chlorides and 43.89 tonnes of total dissolved solids (TDS) into the Chalakkudy river along with other chemical and industrial effluents.

Judgement of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of State of Kerala & Ors Vs Yusuff & Ors. dated 23/02/2017 regarding ownership rights over the forest land measuring around 4.0755 Hectares in Sy. No 2019/Part, situated in Pattassery (Agaly) Village, Mannaghat Taluk, District Palakkad in the State of Kerala. The dispute is between the State (Forest Department) on the one hand and the private individuals (respondents) on the other hand.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone Chennai) in the matter of Bhaskaran V.A Vs State Environment Impact Assessment Authority & Others dated 09/02/2017 regarding environmental clearance (EC) to stone quarry covering an area of 3.9947 Ha in Thiruvaniyoor Village and Panchayat, Kunnathunad Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala. NGT dismisses the Application.
