Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) has severed its ties with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) by mutual consent with immediate effect.

Hyderabad, Sept. 23: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the state government and the Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation Limited on a miscellaneous petition filed against Metro Rail project. Dr C. Ramachandraiah and O.M. Debra, residents of the city, sought an interim direction to restrain the government and the HMRC from going ahead with the work.

New Delhi: Next month onwards, you will be able to hire a radio cab from a Delhi Metro station. Along the lines of the service available at the airport, commuters using the Metro will also be able to use radio taxis as feeder links to reach their end destinations.

Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Ltd has commenced consultation with property owners to purchase land for constructing stations and laying the metro line.

HYDERABAD: A significant milestone in commencing work on the Rs. 12,132-crore Hyderabad metro rail project was reached when the Andhra Pradesh government and Maytas Metro Limited , special purpose vehicle constituted to implement it, signed a concession agreement here on Friday.

The High Court has ordered maintenance of status quo in the land acquisition from a petitioner for the Metro Rail project at Jayanagar South End Circle.

The State Government on Monday announced the release of Rs 200 crore for the Bangalore Metro Rail project. This amount is part of the Rs 700 crore sanctioned for the project in this years budget.

Incidentally, this is the single largest release by the State Government for the prestigious Metro Rail project.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the board of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) had given its green signal for the proposed extension of the Namma Metro project.
