Vadodara: If you are already bearing the brunt of increasing commodity prices, there is more bad news for you as prices of milk are also set to soar in near future.

These regulations may be called the Food safety and standards (milk and milk products) amendment regulation, 2009. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

A Murrah buffalo at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) here has yielded a record 23.3 kg milk in a single day.

"The rare feat was achieved on the 56th day of the second lactation of the buffalo, born at the institute using superior germplasm," said NDRI director Dr AK Srivastava.
