After lying low for several months, the H1N1 virus or swine flu has made a comeback in Maharashtra, according to health officials.

Under the ambitious slum rehabilitation scheme of the state government, 43,000 slum dwellers will be handed over flats within the next four years in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Allegations of corruption and mismanagement have been raised against the slum rehabilitation authority (SRA), mainly regarding the delay in handing over the flats.

The first human milk bank (HMB) in the city was inaugurated in the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital on Sunday. The hospital has received help from the Rotary Club of Mumbai Nariman Point, in setting up this unique bank.

With the inauguration, the total number of such banks in the country has gone up to eight.
