April 28: SMRT Corporation, the pioneer in public transportation in Singapore, has sent proposals to develop metro rail projects in the state including the Hyderabad metro rail project.
SMRT proposes to take up the projects based on a Build-Operate-Transfer mo-del. The Singapore metro is one of the few metro rail projects in the world that incurs profits.
