A group of slum-dwellers of Berhampur are reluctant to get rehabilitated in apartments proposed to be built under the Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY).

This may become a hindrance in the path of implementation of the RAY in the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BMC) area. A group of inhabitants of Uttarmukhi Street of ward number 1 of the BMC have approached the Berhampur Sub-Collector opposing their proposed rehabilitation in apartments to be constructed under the RAY.

The general body of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday approved the draft for the revised city development plan (CDP) for 2041 as mandated by the central government to receive funds under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
