This publication presents selected key indicators related to agriculture and food security that the international community, governments, the private sector and civil society can use to assess current trends and prioritize their actions. It is divided into two sections, one thematic and one country-specific.

The present report provides certain key results of 20th Livestock Census. It consists of All India total population of major livestock species. The report also contains State level data of various parameters along with distribution of livestock species according to their age, sex, usages etc.

CO2 Emissions from Fuel Combustion 2019 provides comprehensive estimates of CO2 emissions from fuel combustion and related indicators across the world and across the sectors of the global economy.

The present volume of 'Road accidents in India 2018' provides information on various aspects of road accidents in the year 2018. It has nine sections giving an overview, profile of road accidents , causes of road accidents; inter-state comparisons; share of millions plus cities; spatial and intertemporal distribution; international comparisons; road safety initiatives taken by the Government of India and a brief write up on Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill 2019 etc.

2019 marks the 22nd edition of Key World Energy Statistics (KWES) – the annual booklet of the IEA’s most used statistics. Key World Energy Statistics contains timely, clearly presented data on the supply, transformation and consumption of all major energy sources for the main regions of the world, in addition to energy indicators, energy balances, prices, RDD and CO2 emissions as well as energy forecasts.

Phosphorus (P) is an essential macronutrient in agriculture; however, lack of reporting makes its supply chain a black box. By using literature synthesis on the P challenge, we identify four areas where the reporting process is problematic: P reserves and resources; P losses along the supply chain; P externalities; and access to data. We find that in these areas, the reporting system is inconsistent, inaccurate, incomplete, fragmented and non-transparent.

Tamil Nadu has been ranked tenth in the State Rooftop Solar Attractiveness Index (SARAL), below other key States. Karnataka has been given the first rank in the index, followed by Telangana, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.

Road injuries are among the ten leading causes of death worldwide and also impede economic wellbeing and macroeconomic performance. Beyond medical data on the incidence of road injuries and their resulting morbidity and mortality, a detailed understanding of their economic implications is a prerequisite for sound, evidence-based policy making.

Environmental Accounting for a mega-diverse country like India is packed with challenges – from requirements of huge datasets and several microscopic studies to synchronising all of these so that they speak to each other and can yield consistent estimates. An implementation plan for environment accounting was drawn by the Expert Group on “Green National Accounts in India”, constituted under the Chairmanship of Prof. Sir Partha Dasgupta.

This issue of National Accounts Statistics (NAS), presents the estimates of macro-economic aggregates along with detailed disaggregated statements and institutional sector accounts for the years from 2011-12 to 2017-18 with 2011-12 as base year. Besides these estimates, this publication also includes provisional estimates of National Income for the year 2018-19 and quarterly estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the years from 2011-12 to 2018-19.
