Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 02/05/2017 regarding ban on sales and use of furnace oil and pet-coke in Delhi NCR.

EPCA report submitted before the Supreme Court states that the state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan have no objection if a ban is placed on the use of Furnace Oil and Pet Coke like in Delhi. It is also pointed out SO2, Nox and Sox standards have not been fixed for almost 35 industries.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shailesh Singh Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 27/04/2017 regarding distilleries causing pollution to water bodies by extracting groundwater and simultaneously discharging large quantity of effluent/waste water without treatment into river Ganga through river Rapti and Ghaghra, Uttar Pradesh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills Limited (In Krishan Kant Singh Case) Vs. U.P. Pollution Control Board & Others dated 07/09/2016 regarding the pollution caused by the sugar industry (Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills Limited). The Joint inspection report filed by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board states that the Unit is noncompliant and polluting.
