The TSPCB stated that as per the directions of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), all the 17 categories of highly polluting industries were directed to install Online Pollution Monitoring Systems for their ETPs and the data to be connected to TSPCB and CPCB servers.

All the effluent carrying tankers were enforced to have GPS tracking devices and are connected to SPCBs GPS tracking system to avoid illegal dumping.

The application said that air pollution was being caused by the cement factories, construction activities and stone cutting and polishing activities.
