With littered plastic sachets posing environmental threat, the Ministry of Environment and Forests has directed 20 major Gutkha, Tobacco and Pan Masala manufacturers to stop using plastic material in any form.

The regulation 2.3.4 states: “Product not to contain any substance which may be injurious to health: Tobacco and nicotine shall not be used as ingredients in any food products.”
