Air pollution is a critical issue in Thailand and, while the government regularly announces new measures to combat it, enforcement remains a key issue. This paper presents a comprehensive desk review of existing regulations and plans, outlining gaps and barriers to implementation, as well as success stories.

Social-ecological transformation in Asian cities is instrumental to achieving many global development and climate targets. As dense settlements of human and economic activity, Asian cities present unique challenges but also opportunities for low-carbon transitions.

Three major international agendas concern building resilience to climate change, achieving sustainable development in marginal dryland environments and responding to humanitarian crises. These agendas often compete with each other for support and attention.

This paper examines the linkages between decentralisation and urban climate governance through a literature review, supported by two city case studies: Saint-Louis in Senegal and Bobo-Dioulasso in Burkina Faso.
