The matter related to allegation of illegal mining in the name of desilting in the state of Andhra Pradesh damaging river Krishna and the environment. The plea of the state of Andhra Pradesh was that desilting was being done by Inland Waterways Authority of India, without adversely affecting the environment.

Status report by the District Collector Vishakapatnam district on leakage of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) vapors at M/s. Sainor Life Sciences Private Limited, JN Pharma City, Thanam village, Parawada mandal on June 29, 2020. Two persons died due to inhalation of H2S gas, which was released while transferring 'mother liquor of stage-III of Benzimidazole into SSR-107'.

Affidavit filed on behalf of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the matter of gas leak at LG Polymers chemical plant in R R Venkatapuram village, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Status of approvals and compliance The unit has been issued Consent to Operate by Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board to manufacture 313 TPD of polystyrene and 102 TPD of expandable polystyrene which was valid up to December 31, 2021.

Report dated May 28, 2020 of the Joint Monitoring Committee constituted by the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Original Application No. 73/2020 regarding gas leak of styrene at LG Polymers Chemical Plant in R. R. Venkatapuram village, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh in compliance of NGT order of May 8, 2020.

The committee appointed to look into the matter visited the gas leakage site along with Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board officials and interacted with the industry officials.
