ALREADY hit by a hike in fuel prices, people in Delhi and the NCR now will have to fork out more for their milk as well, with the biggest supplier Mother Dairy hiking prices by up to Rs 2 a litre.

The increase comes on the heels of another supplier Amul raising the price by the same amount on Friday.

Shimla: The NABARD-funded Doodh Ganga scheme has taken off on a flying note with as many as 1,123 individuals and self-help groups (SHGs) securing loans to the tune of Rs 22.96 crore by March 31 last, within five months of the launch of the scheme. Mumbai: Maharashtra government is planning to set up a regulatory authority to control soaring milk prices in the state.

"We are planning to set up a regulatory authority to control milk prices so that the consumers do not suffer every time," minister for animal husbandry, dairy development and fisheries, Nitin Raut said.

GCMMF won the award for its massive plantation drive initiated by GCMMF since 2007 through the village dairy cooperative societies.
