Order of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh dated 17/04/2018 regarding monkey attacks on humans, Chandigarh. Chandigarh Administration states that the monkey is a scheduled animal protected under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and the administration is finding it difficult to control the monkey menace as monkeys are straying into the city area because of the availability of food by the residents.
