After a successful pilot project at Simon Bolivar Marg, the New Delhi Municipal Council will replace the existing streetlights on 67 city roads with new, energy-efficient lights.

The MCD has demanded the Delhi government to immediately release Rs 50 crores needed for beautification of the city for the Commonwealth Games 2010. The civic body plans to plant at leas 10 lakh trees and shrubs as well as spruce up its parks.

Mumbai: As rains lashed the city, the metropolis is all set to face the highest tide of the season which will hit its shores today.
