Mumbai: Environmentalists have asked the government to find ways to curb the impact of oil spill that has been systemically destroying the beaches of Alibaug and Mumbai.

Contrary to reports that the authorities have lifted away the tar balls from the affected beach belt, large traces of the oily substance was still found along the Gandaulim-Colva shoreline till date.
Local activists cried foul over the lackadaisical attitude of the authorities to lift away the collected tar balls from the Gandaulim stretch of the Colva beach.
