Menon Vs Trichy City Police Office regarding the establishment of new petroleum retail outlet adjacent to several residential buildings and commercial buildings in violation of the siting criteria prescribed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Roshan Joshi Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 17/08/2020. Grievance in this application was against setting up of a petrol pump in Dehradun in violation of siting guidelines - so as to maintain safe distance from residential area in view of health and safety concerns. It was submitted that ignoring the said guidelines, the District Magistrate had issued the no objection certificate.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 15/06/2020 regarding steps to control vehicular pollution. A bunch of cases on similar matters were clubbed together and heard by Justices Arun Mishra and S. Abdul Nazeer. The cases ranged from registration of diesel vehicles/machines/equipments of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) for public purpose to registration of BS-IV vehicles.
