The year 2019 was the seventh warmest year on record since nation-wide records commenced in 1901 according to IMD's Statement on Climate of India during 2019.

Climate over India during 2019 was above average with respect to temperature. The annual mean temperature for the country this year was +0.36°C above the 1981-2010 average, thus making the year 2019 as the seventh warmest year on record since the nation-wide records commenced in 1901.

This paper presents nowcasting of quarterly gross domestic product (GDP) growth in India by developing an econometric framework specific to the country’s economy. “Nowcasting” uses high frequency data to generate estimates of GDP growth.
