Gangtok, Sept. 25: The death toll in the flash flood in North Sikkim climbed to 11 with the recovery of four more bodies from Rangma near Chungthang this afternoon.

Official sources said in Gangtok on Sunday that at least 21 bodies, including those of the ITBP and BRO personnel, were found while eight persons were missing following flash floods and landslips in remote areas of North Sikkim.

An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, rocked Sikkim on Tuesday, the same day as last year when 63 people were killed.

The tremor was felt at 5:56 pm, the regional meteorological centre here said. The epicentre was located 27.4 degrees north latitude and 88.4 degrees east longitude, it said.
