This paper depict the seasonal variation impact on water quality of Eastern Doon Valley. Study was proposed to analyse various water samples of Raipur block including subareas in it for physico-chemical characteristics.

Hydrogeology of the Kanyakumari to Colachel aquifer was brought out by systematic hydrogeological, lithological and hydrological studies. Intensive field work was carried out to study the geomorphic and geologic variations within the study area.

Studies on the removal of mercury (II) - EDTA complex by adsorption on coal and coal flyash blends have been carried out at 30 degree C. The effect of various parameters on the extent of removal of Hg2+-EDTA complex has been determined.

Aquatic macrophytes in domestic wastewater treatment is receiving growing attention over last few years. Duckweed-based pond system my be a feasible option for organic matter and nutrient removal, particularly for country, like India where sunshine is available in plenty for photosynthesis.

An attempt has been made to study the feasibility of pharmaceutical (both herbal and bulk drug) wastewater treatment using saline water alga Spirulina platensis. Results showed good reduction in COD/BOD/ sulphates and chlorides.

Toxicity evaluation is an important parameter in wastewater quality monitoring as it provides the complete response of test organisms to all compounds in wastewater. Grab samples of raw and ozonated textile dyeing wastewater was collected from the textile mill in Erode, Tamil Nadu.

Any information system is normally a computer-based information system that enables capture, modeling, manipulation, retrieval, analysis and presentation of geographically referenced data. The rise of information technology and its use in a wide range of disciplines provides transportation and air quality modelers with a powerful tool for developing new analysis capability.

The present study spanning over two consecutive years (Oct 2007-2008) was conducted to assess the impact of Durga-idol immersion in the river Bramhani at Rourkela. Idol immersion and its impact on the water quality were studied by considering the magnitude of the environmental problems associated with the Durga-idol immersion.

The work outlined in this paper mainly deals with the monitoring of Yamuna river water from pre and post refinery zone for the periods October 2001 and December 2002. A comparative account of physico-chemical and biological investigations of Yamuna river water in pre and post refinery zone of Mathura during the above mentioned time periods is given in this text.

Ground water quality of various dug wells and bawadies ( a water reservoir) situated around Kamadgiri Parikrama way, Chitrakoot was evaluated.
