The Delhi High Court today directed the city government not to implement the 50% subsidy announced by it to people who did not pay their power bills from October 2012 to December 2013.

The Delhi high court on Tuesday said that the pricing issue of CNG and PNG (piped natural gas) pertained to policy matters and courts cannot look into it.

“Please keep the courts away from the decisions pertaining to policy matters. Pricing of CNG and PNG will have to be decided by the executive,” Justice Manmohan said after the ministry of petroleum and natural gas submitted the revised guidelines on the supply of natural gas for transport (CNG) and domestic usages.
