JAMMU: The farmers of various sub-divisions of Jammu division have established 20 biogas units with 90% financial assistance from Agriculture Department under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) besides 209 vermicompost units have been constructed in the division during last year under RKVY and Technology Mission schemes.

JAMMU: MLC Vijay Bakaya today visited Gole Gujral and sanctioned Rs 4.70 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for construction and upgradation of road in Ward 32 Sector II leading to Ashram of revered Shanker Shah.

The meeting was told that out of the total outlay of Rs. 33177 crore under PMRP over Rs. 11065 crore have been spent so far in both Centre and State sectors. The works estimating Rs. 6199 crore are executed by State agencies in the State sector. Of this amount Rs. 4609 crore have been so far expended. The State agencies are also executing Central projects costing Rs. 6341 crore. An expenditure of over Rs. 1624 crore have been incurred so far on these works. The Central agencies are executing works worth Rs. 20636 crore and they have so far completed the works of the order of Rs. 5171 crore.

KATHUA: District Development Board, Kathua which met here today under the chairmanship of Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora approved Rs. 8676.92 lakh district plan for the current financial year. The plan includes Rs. 5301.02 lakh as capital component and Rs. 3375.90 revenue component. Out of the capital component Rs. 2439.52 lakh is the loan component.
