Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shamsher Singh Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 17/10/2023.

The matter related to dumping of sewage by unauthorized trucks/vehicles on roads and drains resulting in pollution and damage to environment.

The tribunal by its order, December 21, 2022 had taken note of the recommendation of the joint committee report, December 18, 2022 and directed the Chief Secretary to take up follow up action in coordination with the concerned departments/authorities.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahesh Chandra Saxena Vs Chief Secretary, Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 13/10/2023. In the Original Application, the issue relating to ground water contamination in reference to the rain water harvesting system installed in the housing societies in Dwarka was raised. The OA was disposed of with certain directions and thereafter, this Execution Application has been filed.

Compliance affidavit on behalf of Forest Department (South) in the matter of Naveen Dagar Vs Govt of NCT of Delhi, June 7, 2023.

The complaint said that garbage collectors collect garbage from a society of Chattarpur Enclave, take it to a forest area near the said society and set the garbage on fire causing air pollution and damaging the environment.

The NGT, January 10, 2023 directed the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, District Forest Officer and District Magistrate, South Delhi to look into the matter and take appropriate remedial and preventive measures.

Order of the High Court of Delhi in the matter of Dharmendra Kumar Aggarwal Vs Govt of NCT of Delhi dated 10/05/2021. The present petition is concerned with the supply and availability of the drug Tocilizumab 400 MG for COVID-19 patients who are prescribed the same. The counsel appearing for Roche India informed the court that considering the recent spike of the COVID-19 pandemic, Roche India has, on its  own, decided to immediately supply 10,000 doses of Tocilizumab 400 MG free of cost.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nuggehalli Jayasimha Versus Government of NCT of Delhi dated 20/05/2020 regarding remedial action for compliance of environmental norms by the dairies throughout India.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Deepak Datta Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 21/05/2019 regarding illegal running of banquet halls in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi. Report submitted by a Joint Committee comprising of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the District Magistrate, Punjabi Bagh and the North Delhi Municipal Corporation states that only eight banquet halls were inspected, though there are many others in the area. They could not produce building plans/maps. None of them have authorized parking arrangement.

Order of the High Court of Delhi in the matter of Sham Sharma Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 17/04/2018 regarding shifting of illegal dairies. It has come to the notice of the Court that despite allotment of land in Village Ghogha the illegal dairies has not been shifted. Delhi High Court directs the North Delhi Municipal Corporation to file a status report on the shifting of unauthorized dairies within a period of six weeks.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of S.D. Windlesh Vs. Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 05/07/2016 regarding cutting of around 400 trees for widening a road in Delhi without permission by Public Works Department (PWD). Tribunal imposes a fine of Rs. 10,000/- on the Chief Engineer and Director of the Horticulture Department and they also gave an undertaking to the Tribunal that within two weeks 2000 trees will be planted and videography would be prepared and submitted to be Tribunal on the next date of hearing.

Judgement of the Delhi High Court in the matter of Shweta Kapoor & Others Vs The Govt of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 11/01/2016. The Notification dated 28.12.2015 issued by the Transport Department, Government of NCT of Delhi prohibiting plying of non-transport four wheeled vehicles in the area of National Capital Territory of Delhi on alternate days on the basis of registration numbers of the vehicles is the subject matter of this batch of writ petitions filed by way of Public Interest Litigation.
