Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ashwini Kumar & Others Vs. Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 21/07/2017 regarding pollution caused by an industry in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Doaba Paryavaran Samiti Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 06/06/2017 regarding groundwater pollution in six districts of western Uttar Pradesh. NGT directs CGWA to study the cause of groundwater contamination to know as to whether the contamination of water is due to geogenic or manmade reasons. NGT grants four weeks time to CGWA for conducting the study and submit its report before the Tribunal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nav Yuvak Ajay Ekta Samiti Vs. Hindustan Copper Limited & Others dated 05/06/2017 regarding groundwater pollution caused by Hindustan Copper Limited, Balaghat District, Madhya Pradesh. Counsel for the State of Madhya Pradesh has submitted that clearance from the Water Resources Department has been received and estimate of 101.63 lakhs has been given for supply of safe drinking water to the namely Chhinditola, Suji, Bhorkheda, Bhimjori and Khurshipur. NGT directs the work to be completed before Monsoon.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ashwini Kumar & Anr. Vs. Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 01/06/2017 regarding discharge of untreated effluents from industries, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. NGT directs that water quality test be also done at the point where the industries particularly the paper industries are located. The report with regard to the water in nala along these industries may also be submitted on the next date of hearing (16/06/2017).
