Hyderabad: As many as 5,426 cases of acute diarrhoea, including 21 deaths, were reported in Hyderabad, Adilabad,
Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, Kadapa, East Godavari, Warangal and Medak. Hyderabad stood on top with 1,197 cases.

The total number of acute diarrhoea cases was 3,901 during the corresponding period last year, a government report pointed out.

According to the sources nearly 25 school children and several teachers in Eheliyagoda Central College have been admitted to Awissawella hospital due to the suspected hepatitis.
