The second phase of the pilot Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor connecting Moolchand to Delhi Gate will open from September 1. Delhi government on Friday decided to open the remaining stretch of the first corridor in which the buses will ply on the left side from Moolchand to Delhi Gate.
The buses run in the middle in the Ambedkar Nagar to Moolchand stretch.
AHMEDABAD: For the first time on Wednesday, about 14 BRTS buses were operated on the corridor on a schedule table. The bus frequency was fixed at a bus every five minutes and then taken to three to four minutes during peak hour timings.
AHMEDABAD: For the last two days, the Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL) is conducting trial runs for BRTS buses in three shifts. The trials will continue till July 9. The basic aim of these special trial runs is to give the bus drivers and the operators a feel of the system. The training is vigorous. It starts at 6.30 am and ends at 9.30 pm.
