Wetland resources of Nyando Wetlands support important economic and ecological activities. However, it is faced with multiple pressures from different anthropogenic Activities within the wetlands and upstream. Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ramdas Janardan Koli Vs The State of Maharashtra dated 11/03/2014 regarding constructions by CIDCO and others in CRZ area. The Tribunal has ordered that "there shall be no further work carried out for reclamation and particularly, in respect of shortening of width of the channel/draft, available for egress and ingress of the tidal currents and boats of the fishermen in the creek area, as shown in the
