Government of India has launched Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) for various works related to rural electrification. The erstwhile Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) stands subsumed in DDUGJY as Rural Electrification (RE) component.
