With rapid industrialisation and rising population, there is a need to focus on reusing, recycling and conserving water, a study by Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) said.

A compact disc on irrigation water calculator was launched recently at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

This study, commissioned by Triple-S, seeks to shed light on the progress in achieving scaled-up sustainable rural service delivery. It examines a number of service delivery models currently being implemented in India, by identifying their strengths, challenges and limitations.

Addressing the challenges of water management and governance in rural and urban areas, this new IDFC report deals with water politics, leakage of water in urban areas as well as the lack of water recycling mechanisms.
