A three member committee was directed by the NGT to look into the matter of violation of environmental rules and cutting the green trees in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Doomroli, block Neemrana, district Kotputli, Behror, Rajasthan. Various trees were uprooted, damaged and cut down without any permission/authority from the competent department/forest department.

In the application, applicant has raised the plea that a Sal reserve forest spread over 20.9270 acres in Aamwala Tarla village, Dehradun, Uttarakhand within Ward No. 61 of the Municipal Corporation exists. The grievance of the applicant is that the private builders have constructed a road inside the forest and they are cutting the trees and trying to sell the land of the forest.

The matter related to encroachment of land behind the graveyard near Max Hospital, Saket, Delhi. Trees like neem, babool, peepal have been cut from the green belt and people are storing scrap material. They are also burning plastic, polythene bags and electricity wires which results in emission of poisonous gases causing air pollution.

In the application filed under Sections 14 and 15 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010, applicant has raised the grievance that some of the hotel owners with the support of the forest department by demolishing and cutting the reserve forest land located on the slanting hills in Naina Devi Himalayan Bird Conservation Reserve in Budh-Pangot area of Nainital, Uttarakhand, have constructed the road.

The applicant, Subhash C. Pandey said that under the Capital Project Administration, plantation was done in the Bhopal city but the trees and plants are being cut or damaged and land under plantation has been diverted or continuously under encroachment by the unauthorised persons for personal and commercial purposes.
