At least 568 students of different primary schools in Laxmichhari upazila under Khagrachhari district fell sick after having biscuits distributed by the World Food Programme (WFP) yesterday.

Of the victims, 140 are still hospitalised -- 85 at Manikchhari upazila health complex while 55 at Laxmichhari health complex. About 40 of them are in critical condition, local officials said.
