Mumbai: Upset with a decision of cancelling a meeting of the steering committee appointed to discuss modalities of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS), Sudhir Badami, city-based transport expert, has alleged that Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) is not taking it seriously. He also pointed out that MMRDA has not included the project on the important projects list.
Despite the potential benefits of the BRT, the project made travel on the city road a nightmare for sanimuters. The loudest complaints said it not only increased traffic congestion but also added to traffic woes.
