Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jagdish Prasad Nishad Vs Union of India & Others dated 31/05/2019 regarding river sand mining by Katyani Natural Resources Ltd. in District Banda, Uttar Pradesh in violation of Environmental Clearance (EC) conditions. Illegal mining by using heavy machines during night hours was causing damage to the flora and fauna of River Ken in District Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The mining has been done unscientifically and is unsustainable and in violation of EC conditions.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Giriraj Parikrama Sanrakshan Sansthan & Others Vs Department of Environment & Forests & Others dated 29/05/2019 regarding renovation of an old three storeyed guest house in Radha Kund, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. On renovation, this guest house would facilitate the stay of pilgrims who visit Parikarma Marg, Goverdhan/Giriraj Parvat.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Confederation of Trans Hindan RWA’s Ghaziabad Vs U. P. State Pollution Control Board & Others dated 28/05/2019 regarding inaction of the Municipal Corporation Ghaziabad in complying with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, in not collecting garbage from Indirapuram, Vasundhara and Vaishali which is being dumped at Shakti Khand, adversely affecting the air quality. Report received by the Tribunal from the State PCB acknowledges that garbage was being dumped in Shakti Khand and that there was no segregation of garbage.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shivansh Pandey Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 27/05/2019 regarding pollution in and around railway godown, Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh in the course of loading and unloading of cement, fertilizers and grains by trucks, polluting the air quality and causing respiratory problems.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ajay Pandey & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 24/05/2019 regarding illegal sand mining taking place on the river bed between Etawah and Jalaun District including Auraiya District, Uttar Pradesh. According to the applicants, illegal sand mining is taking place in the river Yamuna and its four tributaries namely Chambal, Kwari, Sindh and Pahuj which merge in Yamuna in the area called Panchnad by using JCB and other machines.
