Concerned over the fate of endangered species of wildlife in Nagaland, several district administrations of the State have started imposing ban on hunting and sale of wild animals, including birds.

Plans are in the offing to phase out all existing arms licenses issued for crop protection in Goa, in addition to banning approvals for new arms licenses for crop protection as well.

Critical tiger habitats made easy identification of critical wildlife habitats, a provision in the Forest Rights Act, 2006, has made little progress since the act was notified on December 31, 2007.
