In this Appeal filed on 10.11.2014, the applicant has challenged the order of Forest Clearance granted by the State of Chattisgarh on 23.05.2014 for the diversion of 83.12 ha. of additional forest land in East Bhanupratappur forest division for the non-forest purpose under Section 2 of the Forest (Conservation) Act. 1980 for construction of the Phase I of the Dalli-Rajhara –Rawghat Railway Line.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 20/08/2018 regarding construction of ‘Palchan–Rohtang’ Ropeway. NGT questions why forest clearance has not been granted inspite the Court's directions.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Common Cause Vs Union of India & Others dated 24/07/2018 regarding violation of environmenal and forest clearances and resultant compensation. The report submitted by CEC dated 17/01/2018 states that the compensation assessed in terms of the judgment and order passed by the Supreme Court works out to Rs.17417.99 crores for violation of the environmental clearance and an amount of Rs.1756.39 crores for violation of the forest clearance.
