The Tribunal states that if it is found that the activity of mining on the river bed and the use of screening plants at the mining site is impremissible and not in accordance with law, then the project proponent’s indemnity bond shall be encashed. With regard to use of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber) as base material for the water bodies there is difference of opinion as the Applicant NGO CHETNA has submitted that use of EPDM as a material will not be environmental friendly and it will cause stagnation of water.

Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated 22/09/2017 regarding blockage of storm water drains in Vasundhra, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The Applicant has produced photographs to show that the drain is still blocked and demolishing of illegal structures has not been completed. Tribunal grants one weeks time to Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam to clean all the drains in the Vasundhara township.

Tribunal directs Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) to inspect the rice mill and if all the deficiencies have been taken care of, then the rice mill shall be permitted to operate.
