All developing countries must address climate vulnerability and identify the best ways to help their people adapt. Ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) is one increasingly popular and tested strategy.

This report provides an analysis of the tools and tactics advocacy groups use to influence policy responses to climate change at international, regional, national and sub-national levels.

In this overview paper the authors describe how community-based approaches to climate change have emerged, and the similarities and differences between CBA and other participatory development and disaster risk reduction approaches.
