Mumbai: A bird strike has always been one the worst nightmares for pilots, and the plane crash in New York shows how perilous avian activity around airfields can be. The Airbus 320, which landed in the Hudson, apparently crashed after a flock of geese were sucked into the two engines of the aircraft.

Dense fog over the Capital played havoc with flight and train schedules for the second day in a row on Tuesday with about 150 flights delayed and over a dozen cancelled.
