Child labour occurs across many sectors of the Indian economy, including in those which are tightly integrated into global production networks (GPNs).

This dissertation attempts to contextualize the practice of child labour in Bhutan by examining various socio-economic and cultural aspects. By reviewing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, this dissertation looks into the policies, Acts and strategies adopted by the Royal Government of Bhutan in reducing child labour.

CHENNAI: The implementation of Children’s Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act in Tamil Nadu is partial, said V Vasanthi Devi, former chairperson of State Women’s Commission at the Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL) on Saturday.
