Question raised in Lok Sabha on Air Quality, 08/03/2016. Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs)/Pollution Control Committees (PCCs) are monitoring ambient air quality across the country under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP). Three air pollutants viz., Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter

To understand the impact of the odd-even policy in Delhi researchers will need to take into account prevailing weather conditions of not just Delhi, but also its outskirts and neighbouring states.

As the first in the series of "China Air - Air Pollution Prevention and Control Progress in Chinese Cities" reports, this report provides air quality data for 74 major cities from 2013-2014, as well as the pollution-control policies of those cities, the three key regions - Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Province (BTH), the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) and t

Question raised in Lok Sabha on Assessment of Air Pollution, 01/03/2016. The ambient air quality is being regularly monitored in Delhi by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in association with Delhi Pollution Control Committee and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) under the National Air Monitoring Programme (NAMP). The monitoring is being done in respect of Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter less than or equal to 10 micron (PM10) in Delhi at ten locations.

This analysis examines the environmental risks of the commercialization of diesel passenger cars in Brazil, including a potential increase in NOX and PM2.5 emissions, both of which contribute to poor air quality and negatively impact human health, as well as greenhouse gases and other species that contribute to climate change.

Question raised in Lok Sabha on Study on Air Pollution, 01/03/2016.

For the first time this century, the average particulate matter exposure was higher for Indian citizens than that of Chinese people, a Greenpeace analysis of NASA satellite data on particulate matter has shown.

New Delhi may be the world’s most polluted city, but it’s making an effort to relinquish that title. With pollution from particulate matter at potentially lethal levels early last December, city officials took a drastic step: they announced that they would temporarily restrict the use of private vehicles by allowing owners to drive only on alternate days, based on the sequence of their number plates.
