Mumbai The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking plans to start corridor bus services in Mumbai connecting the city, suburbs and Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The plan, according to BEST officials, will help the undertaking to provide a bus every 10 minutes.

Mumbai: Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses will sport a new look from early next year. Engineers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay are working on the new design, which will make the buses more efficient.

The national Capital might soon have the battery-operated electric buses plying on its roads. The Delhi Government is mulling over the proposal of introducing the electric buses in the city that would be capable of ferrying nearly hundred passengers. A presentation regarding the same was given before the Government on Wednesday by a Kolkata-based company Tara International.

The much hyped project of installing GPS systems in the CTU buses has hit another roadblock due to poor signal and lack of coordination between the company I Build, CTU and BSNL.

The NCT govern ment on Friday told the Delhi high court that the Global Positioning System (GPS) is operational in 100 buses and will be installed in 1,000 more buses in four months.
