This working paper compares the market and technological characteristics of electric cars in China and the United States, based on 2015 and 2017 data. The study finds that in both Chinese and U.S. markets a handful of cities accounted for the majority of electric car sales.
For this paper, the CO2 emissions levels of two versions of the Volkswagen Golf, one diesel (Golf TDI) and one gasoline (Golf TSI), were compared both in laboratory tests and in on-road measurements under real-world driving conditions.
This report provides a summary of CO2 emission levels of new passenger cars and vans in the European Union in 2017. It is based on data reported by Member States to the European Environment Agency (EEA) and verified by manufacturers.
