PATHANAMTHITTA: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned an aggregate Rs 53.41-crore projects, including Rs 24.27- crore schemes approved under its latest Rural Infrastructure Development Fund XIV, in Pathanamthitta district.

It appears that there is no way forward for the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) in Gonipura, near Bidadi.

Residents of Gonipura and its surrounding villages are now threatening to halt the progress of Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) road construction along their lands.

DR MANMOHAN Singh is an honourable man. He is soft-spoken, decent and, unlike most Indian politicians, he did not seek high office to line his pockets with ill-gotten wealth. For that alone, we in India, who continue to suffer consistently at the hands of dark politicians who steal from us, should be eternally grateful.
