KOCHI: Soon electricity and bio-products will be produced from solid waste in Kochi. Loro Marketing and Trading Pvt Ltd, an Abu-Dhabi-based business group of NRIs, is coming to Kochi with a project to produce electricity and bio products from solid waste with the aid of Irish-based Wilson technology, known for waste management and green energy production.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A scheme to supply the bio manure produced from the city garbage to households has been launched by the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. The programme was inaugurated by Ports Minister V Surendran Pillai at the Press Club here on Thursday.

Speaking at the function, the Minister lauded the unique venture.

Studies are on at the National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode, to investigate the improvement in the durability of roads with the introduction of bituminous mixes using plastic.

KOCHI: The project for converting biowaste into manure using bacterial microbes will be launched at the Karikkamury Residents Association area on Wednesday.

The project is being launched by the Kochi Nagara Paura Samithy in association with the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI).
