Question raised in Lok Sabha on Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), 19/07/2018. Rural sanitation coverage in the country at the launch of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) [SBM(G)] on 2.10.2014 was 38.7%. State/UT-wise details of coverage as on 2.10.2014 andIndividual household latrines (IHHLs) constructed from 2.10.2014 to 16.7.2018, yearwise, are given in Annexure-1. State-wisepercentage households with access to toilets and toilet usages isgiven at Annexure-2.

Question raised in Lok Sabha on Road Accidents, 19/07/2018. As per the data received from police department of States/UTs, 150,785 persons and 1,47,913 persons were killed in road accidents during the calendar years 2016 and 2017 respectively. State/UT-wise details of persons killed in road accidents during the calendar years 2016 and 2017 is Annexed.

Question raised in Lok Sabha on Contamination of Ground Water, 19/07/2018. Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) monitors ground water quality periodically to ascertain the magnitude and extent of different contaminants in ground water. The ground water quality data is shared with concerned State Governments for taking necessary remedial measures. States-wise details of affected districts with ground water contamination by different chemical constituents are given at Annexure.

The Pocket Book of Agricultural Statistics begun in 2013 as a quick reference guide for all the essential data relating to agricultural sector. This year's pocket book takes forward the continuous endeavor towards improving ready access to key data on agriculture and allied sector. The pocket book includes updated information on key indicators of agriculture and allied sector. In addition, this has been enriched with the status on various new initiatives of the Government, viz., Soil Health Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), micro irrigation, etc.

Coal Directory of India provides coal and lignite statistics spreading over eleven sections covering some general economy data, brief history of coal sector in India, present status, reserve, production, dispatches, pit health closing stock, price, export and import, trends of coal consumption in power, steel and cement production, captive coal and lignite blocks, world coal statistics and brief colliery statistics.

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, has come out with a publication, "Children in India 2018 - A Statistical Appraisal", to provide suitable statistics for informed deision making. The publication presents and analyses statistics pertaining to the condition of children on broad indicators such as child survival, child development, and child protection covering demographic particulars such as status of child nutrition, health and education, children at work, and in situations of crime.

The World Health Statistics series is WHO’s annual snapshot of the state of the world’s health. This 2018 edition contains the latest available data for 36 health-related Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators. It also links to the three SDG-aligned strategic priorities of the WHO’s 13th General Programme of Work: achieving universal health coverage, addressing health emergencies and promoting healthier populations.
