A revolutionary change can be made in Sri Lanka by installing solar lighting in every house where there is no electricity, former Councillor, Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in Chennai, Lakshman Jayawardena told Daily News Business.

In a study that may have vital implications for efforts to combat future climate change, researchers have suggested that global warming could speed up as the world starts becoming free of pollution, after they found that plants absorb more greenhouse gases when the air is polluted.

As the action is still awaited even after one month of the delivery of Environmental Protection Orders (EPOs) to owners, the brick kilns in Islamabad's vicinity continue polluting the capital.
