Dissipation of residues of dicofol, endosulfan and quinalphos in tea shoots in field experiment conducted at Borbhetta Tea Estate, Tocklai, Jorhat.

Degradation behaviour of the triazole fungicide, Propiconazole1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-propyl-1, 3-dioxolane-2-yl methyl) 1 h-1, 2,4-triazole, in canal water was investigated.

Imazethapyr, a selective herbicide belonging to imidazole group is used as pre and post emergence to control grasses and broadleaf weeds. Herbicides when applied post-emergence may also leave residues in plant material and soil, depending on the chemical structure, doses and their interaction with the soil properties.

The aim of this work was to develop an analytical method for simultaneous assay of residues of two families of antibiotics, and three pesticides, in honey. The assays involved a mixture of five tetracyclines, four sulfamides, and the pesticides coumaphos, carbendazim, and amitraz (two metabolites).

Honey, being a natural product manufactured by honey bees is considered to be free from any extraneous material. The over-reliance on pesticides caused several environmental problems including pesticide residues in food. This constitutes a potential risk for human health, because of their sub acute and chronic toxicity.
